in a mental health field and then obtained the additional necessary clinical training
to become licensed to practice in the state of North Carolina.

Do you prescribe medication?
No. Currently, only medical doctors such as psychiatrists and other physicians as
well as nurse practitioners can prescribe medication. However, we work closely with
psychiatrists and family care physicians and will refer clients for medical and
psychopharmacological evaluations when called for as well as educate clients about
their medications and help monitor their effectiveness.
Will insurance pay for me to see your therapists?
Most insurance plans will pay for services rendered by an any of our therapists.
Call your insurance provider and give them the name and credentials of the therapist
you wish to see, and they should be able to tell you if they cover treatment.
What about Medicaid?
Two of our therapists accept Medicaid: Harriet Bullock and Heidi Birkner.
Do I pay you when I see you or do you bill me?
Each therapist has their own policy regarding this, but overall, we all prefer to
be paid for our services when you receive them. But if you are using insurance,
then you can just make your co-pay, and we will file for the balance.
Do you accept credit and check cards?
All our therapists accept Visa, Mastercard and check cards. With the exception of
Heidi Birkner they also accept Discover.
May I smoke in your office?
No. We ask that smoking take place outside.
May I bring food to your office?
We prefer that folks do not bring food to the office, but it is fine for you to
bring something to drink with you.
